    The Human Nutrition Unit was founded in 1991. Department of Medicine and Surgery, Faculty of Medicine and Sciences of Health of the University Rovira i Virgili. Researchers are from different professional backgrounds (doctors, biologists, dieticians, pharmacists. ..). Since 2005, the Human Nutrition Unit is linked to the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Rovira i Virgili University.

    HUMAN NUTRITION UNIT: PRIORITY OBJECTIVES
    1) Develop research-related activities in food, nutrition and metabolism, 2) Enhancing teaching in nutrition and dietetics; 3) Advise and assist the pharmaceutical industry related to nutrition, 4) Advise the agro-food industry.

    One of the highlights of our group, partially achieved, is to promote the teaching of nutrition in Spanish Faculties.
