The Centre for Human Nutrition Research Auvergne (Auvergne CRNH) was established in 1992 under the aegis of the Ministry of Research. It brings in a Public Interest Group (GIP), 18 research units belonging to six different organizations (INRA, University of Auvergne, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Clermont-Ferrand, the Regional Centre for the Fight against Cancer (Centre Jean Perrin), Blaise Pascal University and INSERM.
The CRNH Auvergne mission:
1) To coordinate, facilitate and harmonize research conducted by each of its members to promote knowledge in preventive nutrition in healthy humans, especially in the elderly;
2) To contribute to educational activities, training, promotion or expertise in the field of human nutrition;
3) Ensure the management of common exploration tools to partners and in particular the management of the Exploration Unit Nutrition (UEN);
4) To facilitate interfaces with all public or private persons interested in the objectives of CRNH.
